Lush Slush

Total Time: 8 hrs 15 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 8 hrs

Ingredients

  • Servings: 24
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 cups water
  • 7 cups water
  • 1 (12 ounce) can frozen orange juice
  • 1 (12 ounce) can frozen lemonade
  • 1 (750 ml) bottle rum or 1 (750 ml) bottle brandy (apricot, peach, blackberry)

Recipe

  • 1 prepare in large tuperware type container with lid that will fit in your freezer.
  • 2 stir well, put the lid on and freeze mixture (overnight is best).
  • 3 you will need to give it a stir every few hours.
  • 4 when slushy, serve in a tall glass with half squirt/fresca (grapefruit flavored pop) or 7up/sprite.
  • 5 ratio 1/2 slush and 1/2 pop.
  • 6 garnish with a cherry.
  • 7 note: i have never made this with rum.
  • 8 i have always made it with brandy.
  • 9 the apricot and peach are the prettiest drinks-- the blackberry turned out the color of icy ditch water.
  • 10 we drank it anyway!
