Pretzel Fried Chicken

Total Time: 55 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 40 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 2 -3 lbs broiler-fryer chickens, cut up into portion sizes
  • 2 eggs, beaten until lemon yellow
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 3 cups fine crushed pretzel crumbs, made from cocktail type pretzels (i use fat free ones)
  • vegetable oil

Recipe

  • 1 dry the chicken pieces with paper towel.
  • 2 mix the eggs and milk well.
  • 3 place the pretzel crumbs in a bag.
  • 4 dip each piece of chicken in egg-milk mixture; then place in bag and coat well.
  • 5 drop into 350f vegetable oil and fry till golden brown.
  • 6 place the chicken pieces on foil in a large baking pan and bake in 300f oven for 35 minutes.
  • 7 serve hot.
