- 1 wash the lemons, using soap, rinse well.
- 2 peel the lemons. i used my microplane zester and got lovely lemon zest, but you can also use a potato peeler. make sure not to get any of the bitter pith.
- 3 place the peel into a bowl and cover with the vodka. i used a large tupperware bowl with a cover.
- 4 let the lemons infuse in the vodka for one week.
- 5 line a strainer with paper towels and strain the lemony vodka into a bowl that will hold more than twice its volume.
- 6 mix the sugar with the water in a pot and let it come to a boil.
- 7 boil for 2 minutes, giving it an occasional stir.
- 8 let cool.
- 9 add the sugar syrup to the lemon vodka and mix.
- 10 place in your favorite bottle.
- 11 keep the limoncello in the freezer (it won't freeze).

- 1 preheat oven to 400°f butter sides and bottom of an 8 inch pie plate.
- 2 beat 3 egg whites, 1/4 teaspoons cream of tartar,1/4 teaspoons salt and 1/2 teaspoons vanilla to form stiff peaks. add 3/4 cup of sugar beating until stiff and glossy.
- 3 fold in 2 tablespoons of sifted cocoa.
- 4 spread on bottom and sides of pie plate forming a shell. place in the preheated oven and turn off the heat. leave in oven overnight.
- 5 one hour before serving mix 1/2 pint of heavy cream, 1/4 cup sifted cocoa, 1/2 cup icing sugar and a dash of salt. beat until stiff.
- 6 fold in 1 can of drained fruit coctail and refrigerate.
- 7 this is an excellent dessert and simple to make.

- 12 ounces frozen orange juice
- 12 ounces frozen lemonade

- 1 combine first 2 ingredients and bring to a boil in a small pan. stir till sugar is all dissolved. cool.
- 2 bring 2 cups of water in small pan and bring to a boil. pour it over green tea bags in a small pitcher and let steep for 15 minutes.
- 3 after tea has steeped and cooled, pour it into a non-metal freezer container or pitcher. stir in the orange juice, lemonade and vodka. put pitcher in freezer and leave in there till it forms a slush. stir every 20 minutes or so.
- 4 while slush is forming, put one cup sugar and one cup water into a non-metal saucepan. stir till sugar is dissolved.
- 5 add lemon and lime juices and stir well.
- 6 chill this mixture in refrigerator.
- 7 when ready to serve, pour a tall glass half full of the slushy mixture and half full of chilled sour mixture. serve with a mint leaf garnish if desired. drink:-) *don't drink and drive home tho:-).

- 2 bring to a boil, turn down the heat to med-high.

- 5 discard solids.
- 6 stir in 1/2 c ice cubes to cool.

- 1 make a rosemary infusion:.
- 2 measure out 1-2 ounces (about 1/2-1 cup) of dried herbs per quart of boiling water. if using fresh herbs, double the amount of plant material. combine the herbs in a pot.

- 4 strain, and sweeten lightly with honey if desired.
