- ice
- 2 ounces rye whiskey or 2 ounces bourbon
- 1 ounce averna amaro (sicilian liquor)
- 1 dash angostura bitters
- 1 dash orange bitters (regan's is the best)
- 1 maraschino cherry
Recipe
- 1 fill a mixing glass two-thirds full with ice. add the rye whiskey (or bourbon), averna, and both bitters. stir vigorously for 30 seconds, then strain into a cocktail (martini) glass. add the cherry.
