Hot Buttered Rum Batter

Total Time: 10 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 lb light brown sugar
  • 1 lb dark brown sugar
  • 1/2 lb butter
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla bean paste or 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Recipe

  • 1 mix ingredients together well and store in an airtight container.
  • 2 when ready to serve add 1 heaping teaspoon of butter to enough hot water to dissolve. add 1 oz rum & 1/2 oz of brandy and fill the cup to the top with hot water.
