Sangria Francais

Ingredients

• Servings: 7
• 1 (750 ml) bottle bordeaux wine
• 1/3 cup simple syrup (1part sugar, 1part water)
• 1/4 cup cognac
• 1/4 cup creme de cassis
• 1/4 cup pomegranate juice
• 12 hulled strawberries
• 7-up, soda if desired

Recipe

• 1 add all the ingredients except the 7-up in a large glass or ceramic container; stir well.
• 2 cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
• 3 serve over ice; top with 7-up, if desired and garnish with additional strawberries.
