Mom's Cocktail Meatballs

Total Time: 1 hr 15 mins Preparation Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 45 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup dry breadcrumbs
  • 1/3 cup minced onion
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon dry parsley
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 cup shortening
  • 1 (12 ounce) bottle chili sauce
  • 1 (10 ounce) jar grape jelly

Recipe

  • 1 mix ground beef, bread crumbs, onion, milk, egg, parsley, salt and pepper, and worcestershire sauce, shape into 1 inch balls.
  • 2 melt shortening in large skillet, brown meatballs. remove meatballs from skillet and drain.
  • 3 heat chili sauce and jelly in skillet until jelly is melted, stirring constantly.
  • 4 add meatballs and stir until coated. simmer 30 minutes,.
  • 5 serve in chafing dish.
