Ingredients

- 6 cups water
- 3 cups sorrel, pedals
- 1 ounce gingerroot (one inch thick piece)
- 6 whole pimientos
- 1 cup granulated sugar
Recipe
- 1 bring water to a boil.
- 2 place sorrel, ginger and cloves into boiled water.
- 3 boil for 2 minutes, turn heat off.
- 4 cover and allow to steep for 12 to 24 hours.
- 5 strain and sweeten to taste.
- 6 add rum or wine if desired.
- 7 serve cold, on ice.
